The opportunity

Mimo was founded in early 2023 because small businesses spend too much time and money on payments and financing. In 2024 we launched our end-to-end payments platform that put payments and financing on autopilot, enabling businesses to save hours per week and thousands in unnecessary fees.

Backed by leading institutional investors, Mimo is now hiring a Senior Product Designer to join a team working on automating tasks for finance professionals and accountants.

The role

You will, together with designers, product managers, engineers, and researchers, design experiences end-to-end. From early concept and discovery, through design systems and prototypes, to implementation-ready design, your work will shape how our users interact with our product. You’ll connect user needs, business goals, and vision into simple, beautiful, and effective product experiences.

What you will do

• Run design projects from discovery through delivery, in close collaboration with the team

• Create engaging, user-centric experiences that balance desirability, feasibility, and viability

• Collaborate closely with PMs, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design intent is carried through to production

• Build and maintain design systems in Figma to enable consistency and scalability

• Prototype, test, and iterate to validate ideas and refine experiences

• Evaluating adoption, gathering feedback, and translating learnings after launch into the next iteration

• Ship designs, learn from feedback, and iterate based on insights

Skills and experience

• 5+ years of experience in startups, product companies, and/or agency environments (SaaS, financial services, or AI-driven products a plus)

• User-centered design mindset with proven ways of working

• Figma “native”, with strong experience in design systems and prototyping

• Skilled at turning complexity into simple, elegant, and well-crafted experiences

• Strong communicator, able to explain the “why” behind design decisions

• Track record of delivering measurable impact through design

Soft skills

• Strong sense of ownership and initiative

• Collaborative mindset, comfortable working with cross-functional partners

• Balance between craft detail and shipping value quickly

• Ability to advocate for design while staying grounded in business and technical constraints

Bonus if you have…

• Experience working in SaaS, fintech, or B2B products

• Knowledge of data-heavy interfaces, dashboards, or workflow tools

• Experience designing AI-driven products or integrating machine learning in UX
