If you’ve spent time in public practice, have deep hands-on experience working in an outsourced finance team servicing UK clients, and are intrigued by how AI can reshape workflows (gathering documents from clients, extraction data from documents, posting adjustments, conducting continuous sense checking etc), then you might just be our next game-changer.
What you’ll do
As a product specialist, you’ll bring your real-world accounting expertise into the heart of our product development. You’ll:
- Act as subject-matter expert on accounting & bookkeeping - directly influencing how our products are built.
- Evaluate AI agents on accounting and bookkeeping tasks for accuracy and compliance.
- Structure and refine training data for AI models & agents — working across tasks such as invoice data extraction, account coding, posting adjustments, sense checking and product working papers
- Collaborate with product & engineering teams, translating needs of public practices into product features.
- Feed insights back into the product and data teams to continuously improve performance.
What you’ll bring
- 3+ years experience in UK public-practice accounting/bookkeeping, ideally in an outsourced finance team at a top-100 firm.
- Deep understanding of UK accounting standards (e.g. UK GAAP, FRS 102, FRS 105)
- Familiarity with leading accounting platforms (eg Xero, QBO) and automation tools (eg Dext, Syft) and workflow tools (eg Silverfin)
- Ability to bridge accounting, tech and product conversations.
- Curiosity about AI, automation, and improving workflows.
- A pragmatic, collaborative approach.
Bonus:
- Qualified accountant/bookkeeper (ACCA, ICAEW, AAT or similar).
- Experience working with product teams, accounting software vendors or projects to drive efficiency across a practice.
